Hello
A belated Happy New year to you!!!
I have suffered some problems with blogger lately so, I haven't been able to update my journal as I had planned....I'm not positive as to whether it was blogger or my site, but nonetheless, it seems that the problem is fixed.
Christmas was awesome and my trip to Waikiki was a blast! I had lots of fun in the sun. I have tons of new galleries that will be added in the coming weeks which were taken on my trip to Hawaii. While in Hawaii, the island of Oahu a.k.a. Honolulu, I went on a Pearl Harbour tour which inlcuded the Arizona Memorial...it was very touching... The monument that was errected over the sunken Arizona is an interesting piece of architecture. I also did some other touristy stuff like snorkling, saw a show called the Magic of Polynesia and I frequented this place called the International Market...lots of great shopping! Aside from sight-seeing, I spent every morning on the beach enjoying the sun. Unfortunately, my tan is fading very quickly. I absolutely loved the climate in Waikiki! I did lots of eating too, I loved the fresh pineapple and fish available... I took the opportunity to indulge on all of the great things that we don't have here in B.C.
By the time I arrived home, I was a whopping 10lbs. heavier than when I left. All of the food and the fabulous tropical drinks like pina colada's, chi-chi's, mai tai's and lava flow's caught up with me. Now that I'm home and back in my normal groove my weight is coming back down. I had taken a few weeks off from the gym over Christmas and my trip to rest for the upcoming contest season. Yesterday was my first day back at the gym and I'm sure aching today...I'll have to grin and bare it because my pre-conest prep is only a few months away....
As I've mentioned before, my plan for 2006 is to compete at the Canadian nationals scheduled to take place in Saskatoon on September 16th. I'm planning to bust my butt to try and win this year! You will be able to follow my progress toward the show through the contest countdown section..wish me luck!
