Today is my first day off in a few weeks so I have a lengthy list of things I need to get caught up on and prep before I fly out to judge in FSJ. Another competition weekend is almost here...and just when I thought the weeks couldn't pass any faster...they have. I'm looking forward to getting away, but the 'work' required on my part just to travel makes me a little uneasy. I'll be double and triple checking to make sure I do not forget anything.

My prep is still going smoothly. My weight continues to drop at a steady rate, but my training is slowly being affected by it. I am losing a bit of strength, which can be frustrating at times however, I'm trying to make the most of it.
I'm constantly inventing new ways to make my food taste good....I do not really have a choice in the matter....the alternative is to eat bland, less than appetizing meals...YUCK! I'm approaching the end of week 9 without a single morsel of junk food...I can not believe I have gone this long without a cheat day! As you know, I'm very passionate and almost obsessed with food. In my family, food is very much a celebrational thing as well as a social thing...all we do is eat..lol... It's no wonder I became a certified cook... So, back to my original point...I LOVE food and it has literally taken every ounce of strength I possess to avoid 'falling off the wagon' so to speak. I enjoy 'entertaining'...I usually have friends, family or both over for dinner often....when my pre-contest prep starts I seldom have anyone over nor do I venture out much...it's easier to avoid any environment where food will be present and spare myself the misery. I received this amazing chocolate fondue fountain as a gift..I'm so excited to use it, but unfortunately, it's still sitting in its box where it shall remain until I get home from my show.
Oh well, only 11 more weeks of torture to go :-)

As for my movie watching endeavor....it's temporarily on hold..I haven't had a chance to sit still long enough to watch one.

The UFC fights last weekend were very interesting. I was surprised to see Keith Jardine get rocked by a newcomer..as for the outcome of the Liddell & Jackson bout....no comment...I had no idea as to who would dominate until the time came. Now that Jackson is the new champ, I'll look forward to seeing the two of them fight again.

Well, I should get started on my lovely and very lengthy 'To Do' list.

I'm hoping it's just as warm up in Northern BC as it has been here...maybe I'll get lucky and it'll be even hotter...

Once I get home, I'll be back at work for three days and then I'll be heading off to Edmonton to visit my trainer..now that is a trip I'm really looking forward to!

A few random pics for ya!

Have a great weekend!

I'm still alive...just laying low....

Jeez, I am long overdue for an update.
Hhhhmmm where to begin....the last few weeks have been less than eventful. Aside from working 7 days/week, training, cardio, food prep and sleep, I really do not have time for much else. Then again, I don't really have any desire to do much else anyway..lol..

I am the 'queen' of lists, I organize almost all of my time with post-its...lol...and one of my lists entails a lengthy order of movies I want to see. I
figure I'll use my 'down' time over the next 13 weeks to rest and catch up on all the movies I have yet to see or those I'd like to see again. Yes, I'm way behind, there are too many movies I haven't seen, it'll take me forever to get caught up, so I may as well get started. My 'movie watching' endeavor began yesterday, I watched Blackhawk Down and The Last of The Mohicans. I'm not sure what I'll watch today, but I'll figure it out eventually.

This upcoming weekend I'll be parked in front of the TV again to watch UFC on PPV, I'm really looking forward to the brawl between Liddell & Rampage Jackson!

The end of the month will mark the beginning of several weeks worth of weekend travel for me....it'll be hectic...it seems that a majority of the competitive events out this way have been scheduled very closely this year. The best part is that between competition weekends I'll be taking trips out to meet with my trainer. I think I'm about to set a record for myself as to the number of flights I've been on in a short period of time...lol...

Recently, I made some time to get out and visit with some friends whom I have neglected since my prep started. My 'outing' was brief, but it was fun!

that's all for now :-)

***A note to the IDIOTS who like to try and post trash replies/commentary to my journal entries....there is such a thing as 'moderating comments' which I DO use...if you really don't have anything nice to say then don't stop by my blogg!
I couldn't give a rats ass whether you like how I look or live my life....you should probably find other ways to waste your time!

quick update

Another week has almost passed...it's amazing how they zip by during pre-contest prep. Every moment of every day is accounted for,I could not be busier if I tried...well, maybe I could, but then I'd never sleep :)

My trip to Kelowna was awesome! The weather was beautiful, the hotel was super accomodating, I was able to train and do cardio without any problems and best of all, I got to see one of my cousins! The show was great too, there were a ton of competitors...it made for a long event though. The whole weekend went by in the blink of an eye. Saturday night after the show, a bunch of us headed out to a restuarant to visit....and let me tell you..the smell in that place had my salivary glands working overtime..never have I ever wanted pizza so badly..lol... The worst part is that on a typical day, I would not eat pizza, I hate it! Thankfully, a majority of us at the table were stuck with our diet food so it wasn't too bad.
It's funny, I do not crave anything at all right now, but as soon as I catch the scent of non-diet food, all I want to do is eat..go figure! I did not get in until the wee hours of the morning..it was fun to stay out and catch up with my friends.

A pic from the restaurant (Sandra, me & Tatiana)

At almost 15 weeks out, I'm happy with my progress, but I realize I do have a ways to go. I'm just taking things one day at a time for now....
Time to cook some food...enjoy your day!
