combo #5...

Yep, once again I'm long overdue for an update....what can I say....I'm always busy, but I suppose that is no excuse.

After my pleasant adventure in Vegas, Thanksgiving crept up quickly. Yes, we here in Canada do celebrate Thanksgiving in October :) I travelled to spend that long weekend with my family on the mainland and had a wonderful time. I had managed to keep up with my work schedule so, I wasn't preoccupied with getting home in a hurry.

If I hadn't done enough travelling up until now, I've added two more destinations to my schedule for the year. I'm off to shoot in New York City as of Thursday. I'm really looking forward to an adventurous weekend in the BIG apple! Also, I'm now booked to fly to Atlanta to see the nationals and I'm pretty darn excited about it.
If Melody and I didn't get in to enough trouble in Las Vegas, we definitely will in Atlanta.

Adding to my 'activity filled' life, I hosted an impromptu dinner party this past weekend. It's amazing just how smoothly things can go without any preparation at all. I managed to squeeze in just enough time to prep three different desserts...one dessert probably would have been plenty, but no, I just had to make three. Needless to say, my friends and I consumed enough food to feed a small village. My sister was fascinated by how my arms volumized as I ate....maybe they pumped up by the repeated 'hand to mouth' motion from eating so much or...maybe I was just swelling from all the food..either way, someone caught a pic of us two comparing arm size at the table.....

A little flashback - I finally managed to get a few pics from backstage when I guest posed this year.

That's all for now....I'll be back with some new candid pics after my weekend in NYC!

Vegas baby!

I have to say that this was one of the best trips to Las Vegas I have taken. From the moment I arrived until the time I left, I had a great time. Yes, my flight was late, but let's face it.....my travel plans never go smoothly..LOL!
I was truly sad to return home and back to reality. Then again, the 'pace' I maintained in Vegas for 5 days just wouldn't be possible to keep up with on a daily basis. Way too many late nights.

The Olympia was fantastic as was the expo. I had the opportunity to 'catch up' with lots of friends while watching the show and touring the venue. The highlight of the weekend, aside from meeting some exceptionally cool new people, was the party at Rain in the Palms. Yes, there was a party at this exact club last year, but this year was even better! Adding to the excitement was my discovery that Paul Oakenfold is the new 'house DJ' there so, he mixed up some pretty cool stuff for the night.
The evening festivities got underway at the Orleans...

and I swear it was a night of 'brunettes in black'...almost every one of us who showed up with dark hair was wearing black...it was hysterical!
Later, we were shuttled to the club via a hummer limo where we were given VIP treatment.

An absolutely fantastic evening!

I did train while I was away. I made my way to the Gold's on Flamingo where I bumped in to Aleesha Young and a whole host of national level 'freaks'. It was definitely interesting to train amongst all the 'greatness'...and these guys were amusing.

I can't wait til next year!
