Almost 12 weeks out!

Jeez, it's been more than a week since I last posted though it feels like it was only yesterday. All is well here, I've just been super busy with work, family stuff and my pre-contest prep. As each day goes by, the next day always seems to pass even faster. I would love to make time stand still for a day!

I'm getting excited about my trip to Edmonton, I leave in 5 days! It'll be fun to go and cheer for my friends as they compete. Not only am I looking forward to the show, a few days off work will be great, AND I'm looking forward to doing some shopping while I'm away. I'll be in Edmonton for a week!

As of this moment, my pre-contest prep is honestly cruising along so smoothly that it's scary....I'm continuously getting leaner by the day though I have yet to step on the treadmill or any other piece of cardio equipment...I love my metabolism! It sure does make dieting easier!

Yesterday, I went and got my hair done...while my highlights were 'processing', I made a bold move and decided to have a significant amount of length cut off my hair...I had roughly 5 inches cut off...my hair is much shorter and it feels great! My hair is still long, just not as long as it was :) It's much more manageable at this length. I will post pics soon.

The weather here has been fabulous, it has been SO warm. Unfortunately, I haven't had a chance to get out to the beach yet....I'm stuck using the tanning bed. Due to my work schedule, I doubt I'll get much of an opportunity to get out and enjoy the sun until August at least. I love the sun though, it seems to make everyone a little happier.

Well, I'm off to work...
Have a lovely day!

sorry..having issues with blogger..here is the other pic I was trying to post.

quick update

The weekend came and went so fast that I wasn't able to post pics like I said I would...sorry. Obviously, my weekend was busy...

On Friday, I saw a massage therapist and holy S#@T was it ever painful, I had both my back and quads worked on...I feel better because of it, but at the time...I was in absolute agony.

Saturday was an absolute blast! As I mentioned in my previous post, Saturday we celebrated Bonnie's birthday...so needless to say, I moved my cheat day to Saturday so that I could go out and eat with my friends! We went to an Italian restaurant called Il Terrazo for dinner, the food was awesome! As you can imagine, the group of us walking in to the restaurant caused quite a 'stir'... we ignored everyone around us and focussed on celebrating Bonnie's b'day!

My cheat day was fabulous as per usual...I ate a variety of foods including cookies, chocolate, pasta, bread...but before I forget, I wanted to mention that I went out for breakfast to a local 'hotspot' called Floyd's Diner...my breakfast was amazing! Aside from what I meniontd above, I also ate a few pieces of pizza, chips and some homemade banana bread with chocolate chips in it...that was quite the treat!

In the end, I'm not sure that I ate as much as I should have..cheat days are for gorging yourself with tasty foods, but somehow I just didn't have the appetite for it this past weekend.

The Fitness & Figure Nationals are approaching quickly and I'm super excited..all of my friends are looking fabulous, I can't wait to go and cheer them on at the show :)

Well, I'm off to bed, it has been a very long day!
A few pics from Saturday for your viewing pleasure :) Unfortunately, we didn't get many other pics taken through out the evening so some of our friends are missing.

It's Friday...again!

So it's Friday again..another week has passed by. I'm not sure where my weight is at this week, but I'll be getting on the scale tomorrow morning...I know I'm leaner because I can SEE it. Funny enough, I still feel good though. I'll have an update for you in the morning. I may even include some measurements.

I'm off to see a massage therapist this morning...unfortunately, I have been having some issues...lets just say that I need some 'kinks' worked out...it's nothing that'll impact my pre-contest prep, that's for sure. However, I have been in to see her several times this past month.

I'm so excited, my friends are now three weeks out from their show! Now speaking of friends, I'd like to wish my good friend Bonnie McKechnie a Happy Birthday! We'll be celebrating her birthday tomorrow so, I WILL have some pics to post tomorrow night :)

That's all for now...

End of the week!

It's Friday night and I've just finally had a chance to sit down....I got in from the gym roughly 1/2 an hour ago, cooked some food, the menu at "Chez Nardi" this evening inlcuded the likes of steak and green beans...washed down with a Diet Orange Crush...aaahhhh pre-contest mode, life isn't all that exciting, but I do take pleasure in eating steak. It isn't fancy steak, most GOOD cuts of steak are marbled with fat and are super tasty, but for this dieting gal, it was top sirloin...medium rare with horseradish and horseradish-mustard...along with cooked green beans topped with Molly McButter. I do find ways to make all of my food taste good, I try and be creative.

Tomorrow marks 15 weeks out...yahoo! I'm getting more excited as the weeks pass by!

My progress as of late has been slow and steady and relatively enjoyable, but I'd prefer to move things along a little faster...prepare to see some radical changes over the next few weeks.

I finally selected my suit colours for the guest posing as well as my competition suits....AND I FINALLY decided on some music for the guest posing....the music was being cut today and will be finalized with sound effects by the end of the weekend....

Well, my evening isn't over yet...I still need to get to the grocery store to pick up some goodies for my cheat day on Sunday...funny enough, a typical Friday night always entails grocery shopping whether I'm in pre-contest mode or enjoying my offseason...unfortunately, I work on Saturday's, I don't always have time to get to the store so I get all of my shopping done before hand.... however, that means I have junk food in the house for the entire day prior to my cheat day...although some would wonder whether I'm tempted by the food, I assure, I'm not...I often use if as motivation.

That's all for now, I'll leave you with a few pics from last weekend :)
