no more junk food...lol...
I'm finally 'back on the wagon', it took me a while, but somehow, I have managed to avoid eating junk food. After the baking extravaganza, I was able to limit myself to only a 'taste' of everything I had baked, I gave everything away! I'm now on to a maintenance diet for the winter, yes, another diet...I do need to keep my weight in check so to speak because I do have a tendency to let it get out of control. Over the last few weeks, my weight has been dropping at a very steady pace. I'm planning to keep myself 15-20 lbs away from contest weight this year. I have yet to return to the gym to start my off-season training due to circumstances beyond my control. My injuries have darn near healed completely though. I did start doing some cardio yesterday in the hopes of pushing my weight down further, I figure it will help me to shake the last of the water I have been retaining from three weeks of food overload...lol...
I do have an incentive for getting my weight down quickly. I was contacted yesterday by a casting director for a horror movie that is being filmed in Vancouver. They asked me if I was interested and of course, I agreed. It's actually a speaking role...yikes! I get to speak in both English & Spanish. I will be meeting with both the producer & director next week, pretty cool huh? I have never attended a casting call nor have I ever had any acting lessons, but apparently I was highly recommended for the part. Needless to say, I was shocked when they called me. It seems they were looking for a female bodybuilder to fulfill the role. I'm both excited and nervous! I'll share more details later.
We (my family & I) were finally able to finish cleaning/painting my brother's house, it looks great! In fact, it looks like a completely different house now. We put in many painful hours to get the house up to par, before then, I couldn't imagine how anyone ever actually lived there. I think my brother will be eternally grateful for all that was done.
In other news, I truly can't believe how quickly the USA Nationals are approaching, it will be interesting to see who is awarded a pro card this year. I would love to get to Miami to watch the show, but not this year. My friend Tatianna will be attending the nationals so I'm sure she'll return home with tons of pics and info regarding the show.
Well, I have gotta run, but I'll leave you with a few pics....have a great day!
