it's November already!!!
The last two weeks have been rather eventful...it's time for an update :)
I was in Vancouver last week to meet with the producer & director...what a blast! I can't really mention much about my role in the movie at this time, but I will tell you that it'll be released next October AND it is a horror film that will be in theaters :) While in Vancouver, I was able to visit with my pal Tatiana, train at her gym and eat...it was tons of fun. The gym itself (Pantheon Athletic Club)was amazing, lots of different equipment, different atmosphere than what I'm used to at home, but incredibly huge! The gym is set up on two floors...very spacious AND very modern! Check it out, www.pacgym.com The gym is situated in the heart of downtown Vancouver at the corner of Hornby & Smithe...lots of parkades around too. The gym is so ideally located that there are restaurants literally steps from the doorway....there is a wicked Sushi restaurant directly below the gym..I seized the opportunity to eat there every chance I had.
After my adventure in Vancouver, I returned home to a more calming environment..the hustle & bustle of a metropolitan city is tough to deal with, especially if you're a gal like me...I live in what I often refer to as a "sleepy hollow"...I can get anywhere in less than 15 minutes...I do not have to plan my day around which direction the traffic is moving. Everything in my little city closes quite early whereas in the BIG city....nobody sleeps or at least it seems that way...lol...the hum of traffic is constant, it would certainly take some getting used to, that's for sure.
I have been back to my training schedule for the last few weeks now, but I have changed things a bit... it feels good to be training again...and some variety in my exercises is keeping it interesting. My off-season diet plan is going very well with the exception of treats..somehow I manage to sneak in a treat at least every second day. My weight has plateaued and isn't exceeding the limit I have set for myself which is nice....I'll need to step on the scale every third or fourth day to ensure it stays that way..if not, I'll be doing cardio all winter to ensure my weight stays down while I eat lots of good food....when I say good food, I mean lots of diet food. I'm trying to adapt to more food-volume at each meal. I love to eat!
As of right now, my muscle groups are massive...overall, I think I may be the biggest I have ever been without the bodyfat. A few winters ago, I did let my weight get a little out of hand...I got up to 180lbs. and everything was huge, but it was coated in a layer of fat.YUCK! I promised myself never to do that agin :) I'll be sure to post pics and stats in the coming weeks...
I skipped Halloween this year and opted to train instead of getting dressed up and going out with friends. I had been far too busy lately to even consider it. Oh well, there is always next year...
Now that November is here....my birthday is on the horizon and will be here before I know it..I'm going to be 30! I just can't believe it...time has really flown by...
Our last novice level show of the year is scheduled for two weeks from Saturday. As always, it'll be an opportunity for me to catch up with some of my friends that I don't see all that often...competition weekends are always a blast...I'm looking forward to it. I will be heading over to the show a few days early to finish up my workouts for the week at another gym that I really like....funny enough, it's the same gym we used to shoot some ME stuff a few years ago....aaahhh memories :)
Gotta eat some breakfast, have a great day!
