my prep
As of this upcoming Saturday (June 4) I'll be 13 weeks out from the Canadians.
I neglected to mention this earlier, but my starting weight at 16 weeks out (this year) was 163lbs. I had managed to keep my weight down until roughly 1 1/2 weeks before the start of my diet. Knowing that my time was limited, I consumed all of my favorite foods in a matter of days. Since the start of my diet, I have lost 9lbs. and it seems that the weight may come off a little easier this year however, I don't want to speak too soon! I'm currently 154lbs which is 6 lbs heavier than I was at this point in my prep last year. I just might weigh-in at the heavy end of the middleweights this year :) I'm still training hard and I've added 30 minutes of cardio each day just to ensure that I'll be leaner than I was last year.
This past weekend was a blast...the novice show that I judged had some quality athletes, but only four of them were female bodybuilders...it sure seems that we're a dying breed. Nonetheless, it was a chance for me to meet with some old friends and make some new ones...I look forward to judging the show again next year. Until then, I'll be focussing on my own prep....
In my next update, I'll be giving you an update of my current measurements and weight along with weekly pics of my progress....ENJOY!
